We believe that the control of government should be in the people’s hands. Local control of local issues is the only solution in attempting to create an effective governing body. We, the citizens of Buchanan county, know better how to allocate funds than a bureaucracy in Washington, D.C.

We believe that a society should enforce the laws it has before looking to new legislation to solve an evil in society. The solution to such evils as racially motivated crimes and school shootings is not hate crime legislation or the abolishment of the second amendment, but rather the full support of our law enforcement agencies to enforce the current laws on books, and the support of our legal system to do its duty.

We believe that over taxation of the people is unjust. We stand not only for lower taxes, but also for accountability of our tax dollars at every level of government. Our money must be taken sparsely and spent frugally.

The purpose of national defense system is ever changing, perhaps more in this era than any other. The needs of our military personnel has not changed. They need the best we can offer them. We must support them the way they support us.
